Under a Little Umbrella

So, what’s this deal abt football?  Simply put, it’s a game of 22 ppl going after 1 ball.  There r those who deem it stupid.  Their reasoning?  "Y don’t each get a ball?  Then, they won’t hav 2 fight."  Tell me then, how long can u play wif 1 ball alone?  D time frame I’m referring 2 is not in seconds or minutes.  I’m talking abt hours, days, weeks, months & years, decades s well.  Get d drift? 

In truth, it’s just another sport.  D difference?  Most of d parts of d world will put aside their differences 4 a while, sit back in front of d TV, silently hoping & praying 4 things 2 go their way.  Personal battles 4gotten 4 a moment, their focus shifts 2 a war of a dif nature, a dif ball game, literally wif lesser stakes, but somehow of greater importance.  D World Cup is d ultimate prize 2 b won.  Funny, isn’t it?  It’s just a ball, after all.  Then, d prize in d end is just a cup.  What’s d point? 
D point is, it’s not just a game.  D point is, it’s not just a cup.  D point is, it’s a language.  D point is, it’s quite possibly d 1 thing that almost all ppl around d world can relate 2.  ALMOST, not all. Still, I find that, itself, is what makes d game beautiful.  ^_^

Just back from a trip 2 Taiwan.  8 days al2gether, but basically spent 2 days flying.  So,

it’s actually just 6 days.  Also, spent most of d time on d bus, s d tour was of d entire

island.  Long journeys, but fun nonetheless.  Didn’t get 2 shop much, but during those short

times, I was able 2 find most of d things that I wanted.  What those things r?  GUNDAMS &

GASHAPONS!!!  LOL!!!

Hm…  Aware that most don’t know what these things r.  Trust me, it’s better that way. 

Curious 1s…  Oh well…  In simple words, GUNDAMS r robots.  D GUNDAMS I buy r d miniature

types.  D term is ‘Super Deformed’.  Meaning, those that I collect r d cute types, wif big

heads & small bodies.  A lot smaller that d normal 1s, much easier 2 assemble 2.

GASHAPON is a japanese term, which means ‘Capsule Toys’.  It’s toys from those machines

where we need 2 insert 20 cent coins, then rotate d dial, n wait 4 d egg-shaped capsules 2

come out.  D local toys r simple.  In Japan, other than d simple 1s, there r actually small

figurines in them.  Needless 2 say, such is also d case in Taiwan.  Those who want 2 try

their luck can go 4 d machines, s they r a lot cheaper.  Others choose 2 buy d whole set 2

complete d collection.  Me, I only focus on d characters that I like.  D funny thing is,

almost all those that I can’t find while I’m in KL, I was able 2 find them elsewhere.  Last

time it was in Sg, & now Tw s well.  Still, I’m missing a few…  :p

B4 d trip, I weighed myself.  When I 1st returned 2 Kch, I gained 4kg.  After settling into

my new daily routine, I lost those 4kg.  1 week holiday, & I gained back 4kg.  LOL.  Trust

it will reduce again soon.  :p  D trip was indeed a much needed break.  4 me, I trust it’s

good 2 go 4 a holiday twice a yr.  Once every 6 months.  I believe that way will refresh me.

That being said, will need 2 plan 4 my next holiday then.  LOL.  2 think that I didn’t like

2 do that…  Oh well, what else can I do?

The World Cup has finally started.  Long wait, but then, who really feels anything of d time

that passed?  Can’t follow that closely though, ‘cos of work.  I support England, but I feel

that d champion this time will b Germany.  That remains 2 b seen.  There r already some

upsets.  No telling if there won’t b any more. 

While watching d matches, I assembled the GUNDAMS.  Bought 3 altogether, completed 2.  LOL. 

Will need 2 buy new 1s, but trust it won’t b that soon.  Hav my eyes set on some large 1s @ d moment, which r a lot more xpensive.  Whether I will really buy them or not remains 2 b seen.  ^_^
